IKO Kiteboarding Lessons Turkey Point
TURKEY POINT, Ontario, on the North side of Lake Erie, although wavey, also offers shallow waters, great for beginner IKO kiteboarding lessons.
The park can be used for setting up and launching the kites. And, there are little beaches that can be used for launching and landing too.
Beginners should not be launching and landing near the trees, as this can lead to injury.
Waves can make beginner water-starts challenging. However, the shallows here provide enough flat water to make this an excellent spot for your first lessons on the board.

Depending on what part of Turkey Point you are launching at there may be powerline nearby. Beginners should be sure to find another spot where power lines can not be a problem.
Being warm, shallow, somewhat flat and generously spacious Turkey Point is a great spot to learn how to kite in Ontario – and two full days of instruction is probably sufficient to get any student up and riding on the kite and board.
For this reason, Turkey Point is a preferred location for your IKO level 1 and IKO level 2 instruction when taking lessons with We Love Kiteboarding.
Lots of space for everyone to zone out, find flow, and focus on their own kite progression for that day.
The drive from Toronto to Turkey Point takes about 2 hours.
