IKO Kiteboarding Lessons 10th Line Beach

10TH LINE BEACH, Innisfil, Ontario, on the West side Lake Simcoe is a great little shallow, soft and sandy launch spot, great for beginner lessons.  There are a number of other beaches all dotted around Innisfil, and all great for kiteboarding on an East wind.  And, Innisfil is only a little more than a one hour drive from downtown Toronto!

There is a beach for launching and landing, but it may be full of suntanning beach bums, in which case water launching will be required.  At the North end of the beach there is a long dock to lookout for. And, the beach is short. Everything downwind from the beach (on either side) is lakefront property with trees and docks. So, if you can’t stay UPwind you’ll need to walk it back through the water.

Being warm, shallow, flat and generously spacious with waist deep water for quite a distance out into the lake, 10th Line Beach is a great spot to learn how to kite in Ontario – and two full days of instruction is probably sufficient to get any student up and riding on the kite and board.  For this reason, 10th Line Beach is a preferred location for your IKO level 1 and IKO level 2 instruction when taking lessons with We Love Kiteboarding.

Lots of space for everyone to zone out, find flow, and focus on their own kite progression for that day.

The drive from Toronto to 10th Line Beach takes a little more than one hour.

Ideal wind directions: NE, E, SE
